Former President and humanitarian Jimmy Carter dies at the age of 100. Jimmy Carter, who was a peanut farmer in Georgia, won his presidency in the wake of the Watergate scandal and Vietnam War. The longest-lived American president died on Sunday, more than a year after entering hospice care, at his home in Plains, Georgia.
